> Google (March 19) wired Firebase into Google AI Studio so the Antigravity coding agent can provision Firestore, Auth, security rules, and service connections from prompts — with user approval. Firebase Studio sunset begins (available until March 22, 2027). Vibe-coding full-stack pitch; secure defaults still need human review.

“Vibe coding” usually stops at the frontend. Google’s proprietary move: **bake Firebase backend provision into AI Studio** — and start sunsetting Firebase Studio so one agentic surface owns the path.

**Google** (March 19) announced Firebase integrated directly into **Google AI Studio**. The coding agent (components from **Google Antigravity**) can, after “Enable Firebase” and user approval: create a Firebase project; provision **Firestore** and **Authentication**; generate sign-in pages (including Google Sign-In) and Firestore client code; draft Firestore Security Rules tailored to app logic; support real-time sync, offline, multi-device. Examples: collaborative recipe catalogs (Heirloom Recipes), real-time multiplayer, Maps/payment connections via secure credential storage. Targets React, Angular, Next.js; agent improvements on multi-step edits and ecosystem tool discovery (Framer Motion, Three.js).

**Firebase Studio** begins sunset — available until **March 22, 2027**, with migration tools to Google AI Studio or Antigravity; existing projects package/import.

## Claims vs checks

Integration and sunset timeline are **Google/Firebase primary**. Demo apps are company examples. Generated security rules are suggestions — production review remains on the developer. “Production-ready” is marketing relative to prompt-only frontends, not a SOC attestation.

## Limits

- Agent-provisioned backends can mis-scope rules; approval UX is not an audit.
- Consolidation forces Firebase Studio users onto a migration clock.
- External service credentials still need human secret hygiene.
