> Anthropic moved computer use, the Skills API, and the Files API to general availability on the Claude Platform and added a browser-use tool that reads page structure, not just pixels. Computer use now supports multi-action turns and HIPAA-eligible workloads under Anthropic’s BAA; Files API gets automatic expiration, 5× rate limits, and 1 TB of org storage. Production agents, not a research demo.

Computer-use betas have been a research demo. GA plus **HIPAA**, **multi-action turns**, and a **structure-aware browser** is Anthropic selling **production agents that operate software with no API** — the same jobs OpenAI Codex Computer Use and Google’s Chrome auto-browse are chasing.

**Anthropic** said **computer use**, the **Skills API**, and the **Files API** are **generally available** on the **Claude Platform**, with a new **browser use** tool. Computer use agents still click/type/scroll from screenshots; browser use adds **DOM-level targeting**. **Skills API** uploads and versions team skills that run in Claude’s **code-execution sandbox**. **Files API** is persistent storage: upload once, reference by ID, download what the agent writes. Skills/Files also land on **Microsoft Foundry**; updated computer/browser tools are **coming to Vertex AI**. Existing betas keep working during migration.

## What shipped

| Item | Detail (claude.com/blog primary) |
|------|----------------------------------|
| **Computer use GA** | Multi-action turns (several UI actions per model call); **HIPAA-eligible** under Anthropic **BAA** |
| **Browser use** | New tool: page structure + screenshot; same multi-action turns |
| **Skills API** | Upload / version skills; attach per request; sandbox-hosted |
| **Files API** | Auto expiration, **5×** rate limits, **1 TB** per organization |
| **Customer color** | Asteroid: longest claims workflow **32 min → 13**, ~**30%** lower cost, **100%** completion (Davide Locatelli). Box: Skills API for bank credit memos (Matthew Midson) |

The claims-agent example in the post is the product thesis: Files (intake PDF) → Skill (filing procedure) → browser tool (insurer portal) → file back (confirmation). Code execution and web search, already GA, sit in the same loop.

Not Claude Cowork Chrome side panel (Aug 12), not Claude Security / Mythos (Aug 21), not earlier computer-use **beta**. This is **Platform GA**.

## Limits

- Vertex computer/browser tools are **coming**, not shipped.
- Asteroid **32→13 min** / **100%** completion is a **customer anecdote**, not an independent harness.
- Whether 13-minute claims workflows survive prompt injection is open.
