> Google Public Sector unveiled Gemini for government services in preview on Oct. 20 for US federal, state and local agencies. Google says the package adds government-specific skills, connectors and partner agents under a governed control plane, can run in an Assured Workloads FedRAMP High boundary, and is already used by HHS and the State of Missouri. Coverage so far is Google's own.

Government is becoming another packaged vertical for agent vendors, and Google is selling compliance plumbing with the model. At its Public Sector Summit on **Tuesday, October 20**, **Google** unveiled **Gemini for government services**, available in **preview** for US federal, state and local agencies. Both sources we opened are Google's, so the capabilities below are **Google's claims**.

Google says the package bundles government-specific skills, connectors to agency systems and federal data sources (including eCFR, regulations.gov, the Federal Register, Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft 365), partner agents for tasks such as FOIA discovery and redaction, and a governed control plane. Named workflows include regulatory research with paragraph-level citations, vendor-bid evaluation against FAR rules, grant-expense audits and document validation at intake. Google says it can run in an **Assured Workloads FedRAMP High** data boundary, that customer data is not used to train its models without permission, and that a person approves each consequential step. It names the **US Department of Health and Human Services** and the **State of Missouri** as early users. Integrators listed include Accenture Federal Services, Deloitte and SAIC. No pricing or general-availability date was given.
