> Secrets-management company Infisical announced a $40 million Series B on October 27 at a $600 million valuation, led by Elad Gil, and said it will put more focus on Agent Vault, a product it says lets AI agents use company systems without holding the underlying passwords and API keys. The funding, customer and usage figures come from Infisical's release and blog; we could not open an independent outlet's account of the round in full.

Infisical is betting that AI agents should be able to use a company's systems without ever holding the passwords and keys to them, and it has raised $40 million to build that out, it says.

## The round

Infisical says it raised $40 million in Series B funding at a $600 million valuation, in a round led by Elad Gil, who also invested in its Series A. Its release names Gradient and Y Combinator among the other investors; the company's blog post adds Gallery Ventures, Pace Capital and Dynamic Capital. The blog post says Infisical "didn't have to raise this round," that it has been cash-flow positive "for a long time" and that it has more money in the bank than it has ever raised.

## Agent Vault

The release says AI agents need credentials such as API keys, passwords and authentication tokens to reach source code, databases and cloud infrastructure, and argues that these are credentials AI agents "cannot be trusted with." It says Agent Vault lets companies define the access each agent needs without handing over credentials, so that an agent cannot leak them in a cyberattack or send them to LLM providers and other tools. CEO and co-founder Vlad Matsiiako said in the release: "You wouldn't give an employee unrestricted access to every system in your company, and AI agents shouldn't be any different."

The blog post says Infisical will keep investing in secrets, certificate and privileged-access management and will "significantly increase our focus on Agent Vault," and that it is hiring for more than 100 positions. Gil said in the release that securing agents' access "will be one of the biggest cybersecurity challenges of the next decade."

## The company's numbers

The release says Infisical serves more than 1,300 customers and 300,000 developers, secures 10 billion secrets every day and has more than 30,000 GitHub stars for its open-source project. It names customers including Airbus, Volkswagen, Hugging Face, OpenRouter, Lucid, First American Financial Corporation, Wise and Clay; the blog post's list also includes LG and the US government.

## Limits

- The funding, valuation, customer and usage figures are Infisical's, from its release and blog; we could not open an independent outlet's account of the round in full.
- The cash-flow claim is the company's, and neither source gives revenue.
- The release and blog list different investors and customers.
