> SAP and TechWolf announced on Oct. 6 an agreement for SAP to acquire the Ghent-based AI work-intelligence company whose platform maps tasks, skills and labour-market context into a "context graph for work." TechWolf is expected to become an intelligent core of SAP SuccessFactors; closing is expected in Q4 2026 subject to regulatory approval. Terms were not disclosed. SAP's Manoj Swaminathan framed the graph as a grounding layer that makes token usage more efficient and lowers the cost of deploying workforce agents. Both public accounts trace to SAP's announcement.

An enterprise suite vendor is buying a proprietary workforce context layer to make its agents cheaper and more accurate — not a foundation model. With no price disclosed, the strategic read is all the market has.

**SAP** and **TechWolf** announced on **October 6** an agreement for SAP to **acquire TechWolf**, whose platform maps the tasks, skills and labour-market context of a company's workforce from connected HR and business systems into what it calls a **"context graph for work."** The deal brings that graph, TechWolf's AI models and its applied research team into SAP. TechWolf is expected to become an **"intelligent core"** of **SAP SuccessFactors**. **Closing is expected in Q4 2026**, subject to regulatory approval; **terms were not disclosed**. **J.P. Morgan** advised TechWolf.

## What SAP says it is buying

SAP's **Manoj Swaminathan** said the graph is a grounding layer for agent queries that **"makes token usage more efficient, lowers the cost of deploying workforce agents"** and will make SAP's **Joule** assistant better at HR tasks. Per SAP's current plans, TechWolf is to remain **independent** under CEO **Andreas De Neve** in **Ghent** and stay available to **non-SAP customers** — plans that sit alongside works-council consultation language in the release.

TechWolf lists customers including **HSBC**, **GSK**, **Ericsson**, **AMD** and **PayPal**, and says its open-source models have been downloaded more than **2 million** times. Reuters' CNA syndication adds framing but **no price** and **no shared-customer figures**.
