TCS HyperVault Plans Up to ~$7.4B for a Phased Hyderabad AI Campus
Tata Consultancy Services said subsidiary HyperVault and partners will invest up to ₹70,000 crore (~$7.4 billion) in a phased liquid-cooled AI data-center campus of up to 1 GW on 264 acres in Hyderabad. The company says capacity will be built in phases with customer demand.

A planned campus of up to 1 GW from TCS — not a hyperscaler — is how India tries to sit on the tenant side of the AI factory map.
Tata Consultancy Services (September 5) said subsidiary HyperVault and partners will invest up to ₹70,000 crore (~$7.4 billion) in a phased AI data-center campus of up to 1 GW on 264 acres in Hyderabad, Telangana. High-density liquid-cooled GPU training/inference for frontier labs and hyperscalers; green energy and water-neutral design claimed. TPG is identified as a strategic partner. CM A. Revanth Reddy called it “historic.” HyperVault CEO Deepesh Kiran Nanda: “higher density, liquid cooling, larger power blocks.” The TCS announcement is dated September 5; Reuters covered it on September 6.

Correction and source review — October 14, 2026: The primary announcement describes planned investment of up to ₹70,000 crore and capacity of up to 1 GW, developed in phases according to demand; it does not promise 1 GW in the first phase. Removed the unverified partnership year and comparisons with separate campuses; retained the primary project plan and Reuters currency conversion. Corrected the coverage attribution to the inspected September 5 TCS announcement and September 6 Reuters report.
