The August AI-observability deal just closed. Dynatrace now owns the eval loop that sits beside production telemetry for agent fleets.

Dynatrace (NYSE: DT) announced October 1, 2026 that it has completed its acquisition of Arize, described as an AI observability and evaluation platform delivering continual learning for agents. The completion release positions Arize’s evaluation capabilities alongside Dynatrace’s end-to-end observability so teams can test AI apps before launch and keep them dependable in production. Arize will continue supporting Phoenix (open source) and AX (enterprise); over time, Arize capabilities are expected to integrate into Dynatrace.

Close vs announce

This is closing news, not a new deal announce. The acquisition was originally announced August 13, 2026. The October 1 completion PR does not restate a purchase price. Prior Dynatrace IR coverage of the August announce had cited roughly $915 million cash/stock — treat that figure as from the earlier announce, not reconfirmed in the completion release.

Customer/partner color in the completion PR includes quotes from IDC’s Stephen Elliot and TELUS’ Steve Tannock — standard close-day endorsements, not diligence findings.

The GTM trade

Public-company consolidation of AI eval + production observability for agent fleets. Ship once as completion so the desk does not treat August’s announce and October’s close as two separate “new deal” stories.

Limits

  • Completion, Phoenix/AX continuity, and integration-over-time language are from Dynatrace’s October 1 press release (mirrored on IR).
  • ~$915M is from the August announce / prior IR, not restated in the completion PR — hedge accordingly.
  • Integration timelines and product unification remain forward-looking.
  • No new product SKU or pricing in the completion release.
