Grok 4.6 on Bedrock a Week After Launch — Cloud as Same-Week Entitlement
xAI put Grok 4.6 on Amazon Bedrock at the same $2 / $0.50 cached / $6 per million tokens as the first-party API, with a 500k context window and low/medium/high/xhigh reasoning effort. Same pattern as OpenAI Daybreak on Bedrock (August 11) — not a second model GA.
Frontier labs now treat Bedrock as a same-week entitlement, not a quarter-lag enterprise port. AWS customers can call Grok 4.6 inside existing IAM, VPC, and procurement without an xAI contract.
xAI put Grok 4.6 on Amazon Bedrock as general availability for developers in supported AWS Regions. Pricing matches the lab API: $2 input / $0.50 cached input / $6 output per million tokens. Context 500k; reasoning effort low, medium, high, xhigh. This is cloud distribution of the August 12 model — the same pattern as OpenAI Daybreak on Bedrock (August 11).
