Vinci Raises $250M Series B at $1.5B for Physics-AI Chip Simulation, With AMD Ventures In

Palo Alto startup Vinci announced a $250 million Series B on Oct. 6 valuing it at $1.5 billion, co-led by Advent, Temasek and Xora, with AMD Ventures, Eclipse, Khosla Ventures, Madrona and others participating. Vinci sells Continuous Physics Reasoning for thermal and related simulation in chip and hardware design; CEO Hardik Kabaria told Reuters the 70-person company aims to grow from two pilot deployments to 20. Speed and accuracy claims are company-stated and, per TNW, not independently verified. Prior raise: $46 million (seed plus Series A) in December 2025.

A physics-simulation startup with two named pilots just raised a quarter-billion dollars at a $1.5 billion price — with a chipmaker's venture arm on the cap table. The valuation is a bet on taking share from Cadence and Synopsys, not on disclosed revenue.

Vinci announced a $250 million Series B on October 6 valuing it at $1.5 billion (Business Wire, 7:00 AM EDT / 11:00Z). The round was co-led by Advent, Temasek and Xora, with participation from AMD Ventures, Eclipse, Khosla Ventures, Madrona and others. Reuters' earlier interview story (08:17Z) omitted AMD Ventures; the company release names it.

What Vinci sells

Per the release, Vinci's Continuous Physics Reasoning stack combines a foundation model for physics with GPU-native physics kernels and agentic orchestration. It says engineers get solver-accurate thermal, thermo-mechanical and convective-fluid analysis of designs with up to 15 billion-plus degrees of freedom "in minutes rather than hours or days", zero-shot, without customer-specific training. It started in semiconductors and plans to expand across physics and hardware sectors.

CEO Hardik Kabaria told Reuters the 70-person company will spend on compute, hiring and new products, and that the goal is to go from two pilot deployments to 20. Reuters notes Vinci competes with AI-based simulation from Cadence and Synopsys. The Next Web reports Vinci raised $46 million (seed plus Series A) in December 2025 — less than a year before this Series B.

An AMD SVP quote appears in the release; treat it as backer colour, not an independent accuracy audit. TNW notes Vinci's "up to 1,000x faster" class of claims have not been independently verified.
