Google Makes Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash Generally Available With 15-Second Clips and a 30% Price Cut
Google has put Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash into general availability on the Gemini API and Google Cloud, raising native clip length to 15 seconds from 10 on Omni 1.1 Flash and cutting the 720p price 30% to $0.07 per second. The update adds multi-turn conversational editing and stronger reference adherence; outputs carry SynthID, and Provisioned Throughput is available on Cloud. Independent ranking boards were not checked for this release.

Google is treating short-form AI video as a production SKU, not a preview. On November 5 it made Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash generally available on the Gemini API and Google Cloud, with native clips up to 15 seconds (up from 10 on Omni 1.1 Flash), multi-turn conversational editing, and a 30% price cut to $0.07 per second at 720p versus Omni 1.1 Flash.
What shipped#
Google says creators can draft at 360p or 720p, refine a clip turn by turn instead of regenerating it, then upscale chosen outputs to 1080p or 4K. Duration can be set in one-second steps from 3 to 15 seconds. Reference adherence is stronger for character, product and style images, short motion clips up to three seconds, and audio cues; audio references are allowlisted. Outputs carry an imperceptible SynthID watermark, and Cloud offers Provisioned Throughput.
The model is rolling into Flow, Google Vids, the Gemini app for Ultra subscribers, and Ads. Google Cloud's post positions it for product videos, virtual try-ons and ads at catalog scale, with customer quotes from Artlist, FLORA, invideo, Krea, Picsart, Photoroom, QuickFrame AI and Runway.
Claims vs checks#
Every length, price and feature claim above is Google's. We did not find a dated Artificial Analysis or other public board entry for Omni 1.2 Flash at publication. Google itself notes that fast sports action, rapid script changes and complex physics still need work. The earlier Omni Flash / Nano Banana path was a consumer and creator surface; 1.2 Flash is the developer and Cloud production cut of that video line.
Limits#
- Pricing and clip-length figures are vendor-stated; we have not run billed generations to verify.
- Audio-reference access is allowlisted, so "GA" does not mean every listed input modality is open to every account.
- No independent Elo or quality index for 1.2 Flash was present in our check; status: unchecked.
