Grok Build Opens to Every Plan — Consumer Creation Surface, Not a Heavy Demo
xAI moved Grok Build out of SuperGrok Heavy early beta: describe an app, game, site, or dashboard in Grok and it builds live in chat on web, iOS, and Android, on every plan. Publish to grok.me, remix, custom domains, GitHub export, and in-app xAI APIs ship the same day.
The Heavy-only beta was a demo. Opening Build on Free-through-Heavy web and phone, with publish + remix + X cards, is how xAI turns Grok into a consumer creation surface rather than a chat box with a coding sidecar.
xAI shipped Grok Build on web and mobile to every plan. The hosted builder launched July 28 as Early Beta for SuperGrok Heavy. Today it is the consumer Sites-class surface: describe an app, game, website, or dashboard in Grok, watch a working version build in the chat, then publish. Distinct from Grok Build the terminal / OSS harness (July) and from Grok 4.6 (August 12).

- Whether in-app Grok API spend is metered separately from the chat plan is not settled in the post.
